Heating controls

Heating Control Installer Near Me - Install energy services

In 2018, Boiler Plus legislation was introduced requiring an energy-saving control to be set up during new boiler installations.
 Types of heating controls:
Programmer – A boiler programmer is used to set heating (and sometimes hot water) to switch on and off, at different times and on different days of the week.

Room thermostat – A room thermostat monitors the air temperature and lets to set the level one wants. If the room temperature drops below this level, the thermostat switches the boiler on. If the room gets too hot then it turns off the boiler.
Programmable room thermostat – This control combines a boiler programmer and room thermostat together. It allows to set different room temperatures for different times of the day and night, and when programmed correctly it prevents the house warming up from a cold start. This saves energy and improves comfort within your home.

Load compensation – This control is used to adjust the temperature of the heat going to the radiators. When the house is cold the temperature going to the radiators will be high, as the room warms up and less heat is needed, the load compensator will lower the temperature supplied to the radiators so that comfort is maintained but energy use is reduced.
Thermostatic radiator valves(TRV) – TRVs allows to manage the temperature of individual rooms. TRVs are nozzles located at the bottom of radiators, generally with numbers 1-5 and an asterisk (*) on them. The higher the number, the greater the flow of hot water running through the radiator resulting more heat emitted by the radiator.
Smart Controls – Smart controls are available for heating and hot water systems and can be operated from a compatible smart device using a wireless internet connection. The apps on the smart devices generally make the controls very simple to use and can include a lots of features such as usage information to help you identify how you could save money.
TTZC -TTZC is a system that allows both the heating times and the temperatures of at least two zones to be programmed independently.
